The volume of trade exchange between Kuwait and Turkey stood at USD 600 million in 2015, Deputy Director General of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Hamad Al-Omar said.

In a statement to the press during a meeting with a Turkish commerce delegation, Al-Omar underscored the quality of Turkish products, saying that they are on par with international ones.

The meeting aimed to bolster exceptional ties between both nations, particularly in the realms of commerce and industry, Al-Omar noted. Moreover, Al-Omar said that the Turkish delegation highlighted the importance of investing in Kuwait, as the country's laws are very conducive to doing business.

The Deputy Director General of KCCI also noted that the country's private sector is capable of contributing to economic and financial reforms, given the sector's expertise. Formed by way of an edict issued in 1959, KCCI is a public-benefit organization which bears the hallmarks of a private sector entity, as all companies that dabble in foreign commerce are affiliated with the chamber.
