 Trade and Industry Minister Tareq Qabil said that exports of Egypt's agricultural products achieved a significant growth in 2016, with total export value rising from USD 201 million in January to USD 239 million in February.
Addressing the Food Africa exhibition in Cairo, Qabil said that the output of agricultural products rose to USD 280 million in March, bringing the total value of exports during the first quarter of this year to USD 720 million compared to USD 683 million during the first quarter of 2015. The exhibition, the largest specialized exhibition of food and agricultural crops in Africa, is held with the participation of 240 companies, including local, Arab, European, and African companies. Approximately 350 buyers from several European and African countries participated in the exhibition. |
