 Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr on said a "historic meeting" gathered Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his US counterpart Donald Trump .
Egypt-US relations have returned to normal, as the two countries are "strategic partners", and this was the main message that was exchanged between the two leaders , the minister told Fox News. The two countries have common concerns, interests, and goals to achieve security and stability not only in Egypt but also worldwide, she added. Nasr said the Egyptian state aims to promote investment and to encourage US companies to pump more investments in the country. She added that the two countries negotiate on making benefit of the US aid package to Egypt, together with legislative and legal reforms to attract more private sector participation in achieving sustainable development in the country. The minister said the Egyptian government is very committed to human rights issues, and is being monitored by the House of Representatives in this regard, taking both restrictions and balances into account. |
