 Investments of EGP 1.7 billion have been signed during a conference on sustainable development organized by the Arab League, said a minister.
The investments cover several sectors, Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr said on the sidelines of the conference. She said that Egypt will continue its legislative and executive reforms including amendments to the investment law as well as measures to empower women by facilitating their access to finance to recover the national economy. The minister stressed that the investment law ensures equal opportunities for both genders in all governorates. "Women represent 50 percent of the population, a fact is taken into consideration by all foreign investments in the country take," said Nasr. |
