The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in Stockholm announced that the Nobel prize in economics has been awarded to Richard Thaler of the Chicago University for his contributions to behavourial economics.
The Academy in a press release said the 72-year old American economist developed the theory of mental accounting, explaining how people simplify financial decision-making by creating separate accounts in their minds. |
