Minister of Planning Hala el Said called for swiftly finalizing a water desalination station in Sinai's Tur city.
The minister made the remark while inspecting work at the station during a tour in Tur city. The station - with a capacity of 10,000 to 30,000 cubic meters daily - falls within the framework of the state's interest in desalinating sea water. About EGP 430 million was allocated for the water desalination project in Tur city. Almost 80 per cent of the project has been accomplished. The minister also reviewed preparations for the World Youth Forum due to be held in Sharm el Sheikh on November 4 through 10. |
