 Kabil: The government is engaged to push through its economic reform program despite all current challenges.
Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil participated yesterday in the conference organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Cairo, under the theme “Growth of Trade and Industry in Egypt.” “The government is engaged to push through its economic reform program despite all current challenges,” he stressed in his keynote speech. “So far, it has paid off on all levels.” The reforms, he explained, included issuing new laws for investment and industrial licensing, creating a sole authority for small and medium-sized enterprises, offering industrial land with utilities and building more industrial complexes, such as Robeiki leather and Damietta furniture cities. Recently, the ministry has launched a strategy to enhance foreign trade too, which comprised setting up new logistics and export promotion centers, financing imports, training exporters, and organizing participation in international expos, Kabil added. |
