 Minister of Trade and Industry Tareq Qabil said the Egyptian market has all capabilities that qualify it to be a main industrial and logistic hub for manufacturing cars in the Middle East and Africa.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry seeks to boost this strategic industry in order to set up a real market, where car industry is based on manufacturing, not assembling auto parts, Qabil said at the inauguration of Maz truck production line at the Helwan Machinery and Equipment Company (Factory 999). The production line was established in cooperation with Belarusian Maz company. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed el Assar, Minister of Transport Hisham Arafat and Belarusian Ambassador to Egypt Sergei Rachkov. |
