Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on Tuesday 3/4/2018 chaired a meeting to review the ongoing preparations to provide tablets, as part of a national plan involving use of technology to develop the educational process.
The minister of state for military production and the ministers of communications and information technology and education, alongside the chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, took part in the meeting. Talks covered the underway steps to manufacture 600,000 tablets locally as a first stage starting next school year. The plan also involves providing maintenance services and technical support for the devices. Also discussed were ways to develop a long-term strategy to expand e-industries domestically and to develop national capacities in this field. |
