Presidential aide for national and strategic projects Ibrahim Mahlab said that the state has allocated a sum of EGP 250 billion for a plan to develop and reconstruct Sinai through projects in various sectors.
Mahlab’s remarks were made at a public conference in El Arish city in the presence of the president’s security affairs adviser Ahmed Gamal el Din, Minister of Local Development Abu Bakr el Gendi, North Sinai Governor Abdel Fattah Harhour, the governorate’s security chief Reda Sweilam in addition to a raft of senior public and political figures. Mahlab stressed that the future of North Sinai will be much better due to the efforts exerted by the Armed Forces and police. He revealed that a road network has been established to link Sinai with the rest of governorates. He also unveiled a project to renovate El Arish water network at a total cost of EGP 886 million. Meanwhile, the North Sinai governor stressed the support provided by the political leadership and the ministries concerned to the governorate's residents to meet their needs. |
