President Abdel Fattah El Sisi witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Egyptian government, represented by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and Siemens Company to enhance the competitive potentials of the Egyptian industry through providing Egypt with the latest solutions and technologies in digitization in industries.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the 2nd summit of the G-20 initiative for economic partnership with Africa, currently in session in Berlin. The agreement was signed by Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar and Minister of Education and Technical Education Dr Tarek Shawki and Siemens CEO Joe Kaeser. The agreement aims at reaching tangible progress in the industrial zones fields and operating factories using digital technology and providing them with education and training along with energy, safety solutions and environment protection, Nassar said. The ministry seeks to promote cooperation and partnership with the pioneers of digitization including Siemens which is keen on introducing the latest technology and providing high-quality training potentials to Egyptian cadres, he added. |
