The money supply stood at 3.63 trillion Egyptian pounds ($205.90 billion) at end-December.
Under a $12 billion deal signed with the IMF in 2016, Egypt has been working to get its money supply under control to help reduce inflation. M2 grew by 20.9 percent in December 2017. Urban inflation fell to 12.0 percent in December from 21.9 percent a year earlier. ($1 = 17.6300 Egyptian pounds). |
