 Investment Minister Sahar Nasr had talks with Italian Transport Minister Danilo Toninelli during her visit to Rome.
The Investment Ministry said in a statement that the two sides discussed strengthening cooperation in the infrastructure field via encouraging Italian companies to pump new investments in Egypt in this domain. They also discussed Italy's support for several projects in the transport sector, including the railway and underground areas, the statement said. Nasr also asserted Egypt's keenness on beefing up cooperation with Italy in the economic and investment areas in light of the strategic ties between the two countries, the statement added. There are promising investment opportunities in the transport sector in Egypt, Nasr said, adding that her ministry, in cooperation with the Transport Ministry, are working together to encourage the private sector. The Italian minister asserted his country's keenness on pushing forward cooperation with Egypt in the infrastructure and transport fields in the coming stage |
