Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawi and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s (EBRD) Managing Director for Southern and Eastern Mediterranean Janet Hackman discussed means of boosting bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, they discussed preparations for the anticipated visit by the EBRD first vice president to Egypt later this month, during which he would tour some projects being implemented in Aswan governorate, topped by a solar energy project. They will also probed the enforcement of a deal signed by Egypt and EBRD in January to purify a canal in Delta from solid waste. The canal project would serve 180 villages in Gharbiya, Dakahlia, and Kafr el Sheikh governorates. |
