Egypt's customs revenues earned from clearing airborne imports and exports reached around EGP 1.2 billion in March, a source at the Customs Authority said .
Customs certificates worth EGP 230.3 million have been issued for imports and EGP 419,631 for exports during the month, the source added. The total of VAT revenues amounted to EGP 831.7 million, while fines and other fees hit EGP 143.7 million, the source said. Also, 15 smuggling attempts were thwarted, leading to compensation of EGP 150,349, the source added. |
