Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek el Mulla held talks talks here with visiting Cypriot parliament speaker Demetris Syllouris on boosting economic cooperation between the two countries.
According to a statement by the Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ministry, the two sides focused on boosting cooperation in the energy and natural gas sector. Mulla lauded distinguished relations between the two countries at all levels, said the statement. He reviewed at the meeting mechanisms for enhancing cooperation among eastern Mediterranean countries in the natural gas domain. The Cypriot speaker said strategic cooperation with Egypt especially in the natural gas sector is of special importance to his country. There is much understanding between the two countries in this regard, he added. |
