The Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation announced that it has approved the export of 95,000 hatching eggs to Jordan in accordance with all necessary quarantine procedures.
The move, which followed a years-long hiatus, comes after Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation El Sayyed el Quseir has received a report from head of the ministry’s Livestock and Poultry Development Sector Tareq Suleiman, which included an approval of exporting hatching eggs to Jordan. Suleiman said in the report that Egypt’s production of table eggs exceeds 13 billion per year, noting in this regard that the country maintains self-sufficiency of table eggs, thanks to the precautions taken by the agriculture ministry. |
