Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange Ramy El-Dokany said that EGX is currently studying introducing a new index that conforms with Islamic Sharia to deal with investors and investment funds which are interested in investing in financial instruments compliant with Islamic laws.
In a press conference on the EGX 2022 recap, Dokany also noted that EGX studies canceling some indexes and restructuring others in line with its strategy to offer products suitable to the market needs. As for linking EGX with Gulf stock exchanges, he pointed out that any link with any stock exchange should be well regulated and well timed. |
