A delegation from the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), led by Chairman Walid Gamal Eddin, discussed during a meeting in Mumbai, India, with representatives of major Indian industrial companies action plans of these firms to localize and strengthen the industries of cars, petrochemicals and soda in the Zone.
SCZone said in a statement that Gamal Eddin and his accompanying delegation met in Mumbai with members of the Federation of Indian Industry, led by K. Nandakumar. Nandakumar pointed out to historical and deep-rooted ties between Egypt and India. The Indian official said the Federation is looking forward the Zone will become a hub for Indian industries through the promotion of joint cooperation and a gateway for Indian products and commodities to African markets, that are considered one of the giant consumption markets. The Indian union asserted its utmost keenness on finding Egyptian partners in various industrial sectors and scaling up trade exchange volume between the two countries. The president of the Indian union described Egypt as a big market that would enable any investments into global markets. The delegation of SCZone left Mumbai city today after wrapping up a promotional tour in New Delhi and Mumbai as part of an action plan this year to promote for the Zone with the objective of attracting more Indian companies working in various domains. |
