The Egyptian Cabinet convened its weekly meeting under Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli to discuss an array of political, economic and social files.
The latest developments in the international arena will be tackled during the meeting. The meeting will also take up the voting process in the 2024 presidential election, which ended on Tuesday night 12/12/2023. A government initiative to reduce prices of basic commodities is also on the agenda. The Cabinet will probe some important bills and ministerial decisions aimed at achieving renaissance at all levels. The ministers will issue decisions to support investment, and follow up on the completion of various national projects nationwide including, the “Decent Life” presidential initiative to develop the Egyptian countryside. Figuring high in the meeting will be the files of industry, export and agriculture. The Cabinet will also focus on market control, social security and taxes. In addition, the ministers will discuss moves to make industrial lands available for investors. They will tackle files concerned with the development of the sectors of health, sports, education and transportation, as well as measures taken to cater to the limited income brackets and secure needs of citizens in general. |
