Minister of Supply and Interior Trade Sherif Farouk asserted that Egypt's reserve of strategic and supply goods, especially wheat, reached its highest rates in the past period.
In statements to MENA, Farouk said that boosting strategic reserve of basic goods comes within the framework of the directives of the political leadership and Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli. He said that the Supply Ministry contracted for 770,000 tons of wheat from Bulgaria and Russia. Egypt's reserve of wheat, whether locally or imported, is enough for 6.9 months, he said, adding that the reserve of subsidized sugar is enough for 19.3 months an oil for 5.6 months. |
