Lubna Receives Governor of Santa Fe in Argentina

The UAE is resolve to furthering its economic, trade and investment relations with Latin America, Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Foreign Trade, said. Sheikha Lubna said during a meeting with governor of Santa Fe Antonio Bonfatti that she is interested in visiting countries of Latin America to build economic partnerships with them. The meeting discussed common factors in economies of the two countries and explored avenues of enhancing joint cooperation.

The governor Santa Fe is leading a high-level delegation including ministers of economy and production, a group of top advisors at the House of Deputies and Senate, a trade mission. Sheikha Lubna stressed the importance of exchange of visits of trade missions and sharing of information about promising business opportunities. She said participation of Argentinian companies in trade fairs staged in the UAE would them market their products and services in the UAE and the region.

The Governor of Santa Fe said Argentinian businessmen and investors were interested in the UAE economy and they frequently attend major trade fairs in the UAE like the Gulf Food. He briefed Sheikha Lubna on the strengths of the Santa Fe Province's economy which is second largest contributor to Argentina's GDP, accounting for 21% of total exports. He added UAE would-be investors would be offered diverse business opportunities especially in sectors like agriculture, food processing, building materials, real estate, manufacturing industries, tourism , renewable energy and solar power
