Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade, Dr. Mahmoud Eissa said that the government will issue a decision within the next few days, to require the presence of 40% locally produced components in the implementation of major projects.
This comes after the capacity and potential of feeding industries were upgraded while the added value of local products was enhanced, the minister noted. Minister Eissa pointed out that the ministry will adopt an ambitious plan to deepen the domestic industrialization and increase the value added of all industrial products, especially as the Egyptian industry enjoys a strong infrastructure that qualifies it to be the engine of the Egyptian economy.
