Industry and Foreign Trade Minister Mahmoud Eissa said on 23/5/2012 that a delegation of UAE businessmen will visit Cairo shortly to explore investment opportunities and check on the environment in the Egyptian market ailing from an economic slump produced by a political turmoil that has been going on for over a year. His remarks came during talks he had with UAE Foreign Trade and Economy Ministers Sheikha Lubna al-Qassimi and Sultan Al-Mansuri, respectively, on the sidelines of his participation in the Abu Dhabi-hosted third Arab-Indo partnership conference.
Eissa stressed, according to a statement issued by the Industry Ministry, that the restoration of internal stability in Egypt would create an investment-friendly climate in the highly promising Egyptian market.The minister's talks with the UAE economy minister covered reactivating joint cooperation, signing a memo of understanding on cooperation in boosting small- and medium-size industries and the current transitional period in Egypt.
