Qatar's ambassador to Jordan, HE Zayed Bin Saad Al Khayareen conferred with the executive director of the Jordanian Investment Authority, Awni Shdeifat to discuss expanding of scopes of economic and investment cooperation between the two countries. During a visit to the Jordanian Investment Authority Al Khayareen praised the special relations between the two sides, emphasizing the need to implement joint projects in infrastructure and in industrial and development sectors.
He also called for increasing the exchange of visits of economic and trade delegations between the two countries. Al Khayareen noted that Qatar has contributed $1.25 to the Gulf Fund for Support of Jordan which is geared toward Jordan's development projects and easing the country's economic problems. For his part, Awni Shdeifat underscored the strong relations between the two countries and the keenness of the two governments to upgrade cooperation in various fields. He said that his country is keen to invite Gulf and Qatari investments, expressing the hope that Qatar will be a special investment partner in various projects in Jordan.
