Sudan has lifted a ban on several Egyptian products, Foreign Trade and Industry Minister Hatem Saleh said, expecting that would contribute to the flow of Egyptian exports to the Sudanese market. The ban lift will also increase the volume of trade exchange and joint investments between Cairo and Khartoum, Saleh said in a meeting with his Sudanese counterpart Othman Omar. Talks took up means to achieve integration between the two Nile countries at the economic level. Omar stressed the importance of economic integration with Egypt, calling it a strategic partner of Sudan. He said the private sector in Cairo and Sudan should be given more room in the coming stage to implement projects that would contribute to developing economic ties with Cairo.
