Minister of Agriculture Dr. Salah Abdel-Moemen said that the ministry has started implementation of the farming irrigation development project in 5,000 feddans in Qena as a first stage. The minister pointed out that the farming irrigation development project will be applied in five governorates namely; Kafr El-Sheikh, Behera, Assiut, Sohag and Qena. He added that the project aims at rationalization of irrigation water for implementing the horizontal expansion plans, increasing productivity and providing various services for beneficiaries within the scope of the project.
