The revenues of the Suez Canal increased by 0.8 per cent to reach about $1.326 billion during the third quarter of the current year 2013 compared with $1.315 in the corresponding period last year 2012.
This increase came in spite of the decline in the number of ships crossing the Suez Canal. According to statistics conducted on number of ships crossing the Suez Canal, about 4224 ships crossed the canal during the third quarter of the current year compared with 4423 ships in the corresponding period last year. |
