Prime Minister Hazem el-Biblawy said on 18/2/2014 that rights of pensioners are guaranteed by the government.
At a meeting with chief editors of Egyptian press institutions, he said that the government is committed to disbursing monthly pensions by the force of law and the government is responsible for redressing any deficit in the funds of pensions. He asserted the government's keenness on protecting the rights of workers. A labor draft law is not yet referred to the Cabinet, he said, adding that the blueprint is still under study by the ministerial economic committee and the legislative committee. He added the government has decided to disburse LE 157 million to meet the financial dues of workers in Mahala companies, despite the bad situation of the national economy. The PM confirmed also that the government is adamant in fighting terrorism. "We are confronting a hard enemy that will not stop its terrorist acts although it is losing ground", he said. He meanwhile underlined the necessity of having confidence in the government and its ability to fight terrorism. |
