The net foreign direct investment (FDI) has increased to reach USD 5.6 billion during the period from July to March of the fiscal year 2014/2015 against USD 2.96 billion during the same period of the year 2013/2014, according to a report by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
CAPMAS report mentioned that FDI reached nearly USD 1,773.2 million during the first quarter of the year 2014/2015 against USD 745.4 million during the same quarter of the previous year. According to CAPMAS report, the European Union (EU) occupied the first position in terms of net FDI by nearly 45.3% during the third quarter of the financial year 2014/2015. It noted that the Arab inflows occupied the second position by 30% while the United States occupied the third rank by 11.4%. |
