PM Sherif Ismail met with Mr. Teo Chee Hean Singapore Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security, who is currently visiting Egypt at the head of a ministerial delegation, the meeting was attended by the Egyptian side engineer Hossam Al Mogazy, the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation.
During the meeting the prime minister talked about the deep relations between the two countries, expressing his welcome of the delegation visiting Singapore, which coincide with the visit to the two countries' celebrations of the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, stressing on looking forward to take advantage of that visit in building on the positive results achieved by the visit of President Abdul Fattah Al-sisi to Singapore during the last year, and promote cooperation between the two countries in various fields to the prospects of welcome. Ambassador Hussam Al Kawesh said that prime minister indicated during the meeting to the great importance that Egypt attaches to take advantage of the Singaporean experiment lead in many areas including desalination and water treatment, port management, waste recycling and, engineering sciences, aerospace, other, and look forward to the coming stage would see more cooperation between the two countries, including the contribution of Singapore companies in service projects and developmental giant carried out by Egypt, particularly in the area of the Suez Canal. The spokesman said that the PM referred to the government's efforts to diversify the sources of income of the Egyptian economy and the appropriate climate to attract investments, as well as the provision of the necessary power to operate factories, and increase the volume of agricultural area, and the establishment of industrial areas and the provision of services and logistics. For his part, praised Singapore Deputy Prime Minister he would meet today with president Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi today morning, explaining that the visit of the delegation of Singapore comes within the framework of his country's desire to promote cooperation with Egypt in all areas, and in the implementation of the agreement of cooperation during the visit of President Al-Sisi to Singapore in 2015, indicating that his country has great experience in many areas which allows the possibility of cooperation with Egypt, in the forefront of the areas of the desalination and water treatment using advanced technology, vocational and technical education, petrochemicals, and others. The spokesman said the Singaporean deputy prime minister praised the role of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in the definition the tolerant principles of Islam, and confronting extremism enlightened thought. |
