 Minister of Cooperation Sahar Nasr signed an agreement to establish a wind farm in the Gulf of Suez in cooperation with KFW Group- Germen Development Bank, French Development Agency, European Investment Bank, and the European Commission.
Generating 200-250 megawatts, the wind farm will cost 345 million euros. She lauded the signing of the agreement as a great step that was taken with "our development partners.” Nasr said this project came as part of the national strategy to increase power capacity based on renewable sources of energy, with a target for these sources to meet 20 percent of needed power by 2020. |
