Planning Minister Hala el Saeed revealed that Egypt has achieved the highest economic growth rate in ten years, backed by a significant increase in investments, which hit 40 percent in the 2019/2020 fiscal year.
Addressing a conference on the administrative reform-reality and the future, el Saeed added that this rising economic growth is a clear evidence of the state's key goal to improve the quality of life and provide better services to citizens, while reducing the public budget's deficit and debt. She went on to say that the Ministry of Planning, Monitoring and Administrative Reform has worked for two years to draw up a comprehensive administrative reform plan, which focuses on legislative reform, institutional development and digital transformation. The administrative reform requires a package of laws and regulation, as well as assessing the performance of civil servants, she noted. In a related context, the planning minister called for paying more attention to qualifying young cadres, stressing that the state spares no effort to train promising young leaders. El Saeed also pointed out that her ministry has prepared a plan to train the state's employees, with a view to developing and making good use of their skills |
