Prime Minister Kamal el-Ganzouri approved setting up a water desalination plant in Marsa Matrouh to face the problem of drinking water shortage there. The plant will cost LE 170 million and will produce 24,000 cubic meters of fresh water daily. It will be operating within one year and a half.
